How to become Pentecostist (Wiki-How)
Pentecostalism is a form of evangelical Christianity that believes in the Bible as inspired by God. The main objective of a
Pentecostal Christian is to trust Jesus Christ as the only Savior and way to heaven, thus be "born again", seek baptism
of the Holy Spirit and follow God.

1
Read the Bible and pray asking God to guide you in by the Bible. Although it's not compulsory it might be a good idea to
pray with a Pentecostal as they would hopefully be able to help. Ask God for forgiveness for all of your sins, and study His
word (possibly, keep a journal/notebook of your studies). Pentecostals believe that prayer is a person's way to talk to God,
and that "rightly dividing" the Word of Truth (The Bible) -- and so, measuring out its meanings correctly, is your final
authority for answering all doctrinal questions. Intuition, leadings, callings must align with the scriptures of the Bible.
Say the prayer in Ephesians 1:16-23 for wisdom and revelation for yourself.

2
Learn about Christianity, particularly the beliefs of the Pentecostal church, which actually has countless different groups worldwide.

3
Compare the doctrinal beliefs with the Bible, or be prepared to find out more and consider it with an open mind. Pentecostals
take a great deal of their core beliefs from the book of Acts which depicts the early church as it began from scratch a Jerusalem.
The first two chapters of Acts are especially pertinent as that tells of the establishment of the Church upon the day of Pentecost.

6
Attend a service and participate in the service. Pentecostal services are participatory occasions.

7
Live a life guided by the Bible.

8
Follow the teachings of Jesus. The Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus: He said, "I must go away. If I do not go away the
Holy Spirit will not come." He said, "I will send the Holy Spirit that He may comfort and guide you, and He shall be with you forever."

True Christian doctrine!
1
Notice that it's quite fundamental Christian doctrine of the apostle Paul!. "Be filled with the Spirit"(Ephesians 5:18)
And the early Church prayed for others to receive the Holy Spirit in Acts 8:15.

2
See what Jesus taught, "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth"(Acts 1:8)

How to Become an Ordained Pentecostal Pastor

Becoming an ordained Pentecostal pastor is a process that can take one to four years or more, depending on the amount
of experience and education you already have when you decide to follow this calling. This leadership position in a
Pentecostal church
requires you to have complete theological, apologetic and biblical knowledge and understanding.

You must also have the ability to counsel individuals or couples of all backgrounds with a range of life circumstances.
More than a job, this position requires dedication, spiritual and emotional maturity and a character of integrity to fully
embody the title.

Join our church  if you are not a member of one already. Spend a significant time dedicating yourself to worship and service
within the church. This period is imperative to ensure that once you do become ordained and birth your ministry, you are
mentally and spiritually prepared.
Females as well as males can become pastors in the Pentecostal denomination.

  • Dedicating yourself to service, ask the leaders if you can become a deacon or deaconess. You will be given tasks and
responsibilities within the church that will serve as your training towards a hierarchy in the ministry.

  • Study the bible and the subjects of theology and apologetics. It is important for a Pentecostal pastor to be well-versed
in all these areas to be able to preach and teach effectively to a congregation.

  • Express your interest in becoming a pastor to your pastor or bishop. This last step is where your loyal membership
and dedicated service to a Pentecostal church plays a factor. Your theological degree certifies that you have obtained
the knowledge required only. You will need an experienced pastor or bishop whom you have served under to act as
your mentor and guide. Be prepared to be counseled and assessed and to go through further training to ensure that
you are up to the task spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Your pastor or bishop must feel assured that you are
    completely ready before ordaining you.
